Above all, the staff were very friendly. If there was a need, they tried to solve it as soon as possible and did not turn away from the case where help was needed. Even though my flight arrived earlier than scheduled, Hailey, the manager, confirmed this in advance and picked me up at the airport. If I needed a meal, he gave me available options and ordered it for me. This was my first visit to Ethiopia, so I was a bit nervous, but thanks to their kindness and hospitality, I was able to adapt to the new environment well.
The only downside was the sewer smell. I don't know about the other rooms, but the innermost room I stayed in often smelled from the drain, but I didn't talk about this part because I thought it was difficult to improve. I don't know if it's because I visited during the rainy season, but the room had to be ventilated at least once a day.

Great place to stay. Will definitely stay again if we return to Addis Ababa.
Facilities are basic, but you have all you need, clean sheets + hot shower + flushing toilet. Haile and his team are amazing and are what really make the place. Tea and coffee is available on request and complimentary airport transfers.
Haile will go above and beyond to help you get a local sim, is a great sounding board for travel plans and provides fab restaurant recommendations.

Haile, the owner of this guest house is very friendly , helpful and accommodating.. Free shuttle service to and from the airport as well !
I appreciated his tips saving me time and stress. The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable in a quiet avenue . The location is in a decent part of Addis and only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to the airport . Other parts are easily accessible via taxi and there are a few small malls walking distance . I was happy to stay there a 2nd time .

There was no breakfast option but I ate outside Ethiopian foods, like Shiro and Doro Wot, chickpeas and chicken stew, which were adventurous dishes for me, delicious and filling. The owner of the hostel is Haile, who has an amazing command of spoken English with an excellent grasp of vocabulary and expressions which really surprised me because he learnt ALL his English in Ethiopia!! Haile was kind enough to collect me from the airport, then drove me around Addis Ababa city showing me as much as he could; i was very grateful to him for his day out trip with me which was very fairly priced. he took me to the Museums, Entoto park with excellent views, some great local eateries, food and coffee, gave me some very useful guidance on what places to visit during my walkabouts. Haile was very instrumental in making my stay in Addis a very good one.
The bed comfort and cleanliness of the room could be a bit better but for the price I paid I really should not mention it.

What "Wib guesthouse" and the host, "Haile", does well, maybe better then most.
1. Free pick up and drop off from/to the airport.
It's invaluable and a big factor in the high score.
2. Haile speaks perfect english, you might think he's lived in California. Makes for easy communication.
3. Free coffe and tea throughout the day.
4. The lovely guys working at the place are extremely sweet and accommodating.
May their souls be blessed. I wish them all the best.
5. Groove salad @ the radio garden. I'm truly grateful for this.

The owner Mr Haile himself picked us up from the airport for free and offered the same to airport but this time we offered a small token sum. He was most helpful in helping us to call food delivery and telling us where to eat and also changed money for us. He speaks very good English.
There were plenty of mosquitoes although they did offer to spray the room but we declined as it may be hazardous for our health as we were already staying in the room. At night the dogs in the neighborhood barked like crazy interrupting our sleep.

Firstly, thanks to the kindhearted Haile, the owner who drove me to & from the airport & brought me to his well secured guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood yet closed to the shops. There’s a courtyard wide where a marquee stands with table & chairs to chat with other guests & have free coffee/tea. You can hang a few of your washed clothes there. I stayed 8days in total in the same spacious clean bedroom furnished with tv, fridge, table, chair & wardrobe. WiFi is good with enough plug sockets. In case a power failure, a back up generator is at hand. The double bed is comfortable with clean sheets & a towel is provided. Oh yes, there’s an en suite bathroom. The staff are available to help though speaks little English but you can learn Amharic from them. Overall, very good value from money where you can enjoy the 3Cs. Highly recommended.

Haile, the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They received me after midnight and guided my taxi driver to find the location, helped with ATM/bank issues, provided me with detailed information about Addis and traveling around Ethiopia.
Room is spacious, has a TV table that serves as a working desk. A hot shower. Morning coffee or tea. Don't let the location discourage you, this spot is very convenient, just a few minutes from the city train and close to one of the bus stations (Lamberet Menaharia).
I enjoyed restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Shola market which is right next to the apartments is great. Would definitely stay there again.

Simple accommodation in pleasant surroundings, with a few restaurants and shops nearby. Manager Haile speaks very good English and can help you in any situation. They do not offer breakfast, but they can order food for you at the accommodation (including breakfast). Ask Haile for recommendations and tips, he'll be happy to help. The provided transportation to and from the airport is very welcome, and the accommodation is also among the more affordable. The interesting Shola Market is almost across the road.

Although the staff didn't speak any English (the owner does) they were very Close to the airport , only four km, 3 dolar taxi will take you there but owner will drop you there for free of charge.
Many stray dogs around, barking at night. The place is a outdated, the door handle broken, I locked up in the bathroom for half an hour naked. The mattress is very old and uncomfortable and needs to be changed for sure. Free coffee but worse I had it in Ethiopia.

Wifi worked really well. Location is alright. While not in the top location , it’s 10 minutes to the tram and near some notable places so you can tell the taxi to drop you off there. The price for what you pay is really fair and reasonable.
Everything was fine. You don’t get a key to the main door, but that’s common in Ethiopia. One of the helpers has to do, so if you want to come back late it might be an issue, but it wasn’t for us as we didn’t stay out late.

It is such a great place for a great price. It was always kept clean. Clean sheets, clean room. The hot water was available at all time and abundant. I really loved that it was close to the airport, accessible to the main road and within walking distance to crucial places like restaurants and other services, and yet also away from all the noise and bustle of towns. I am a woman who was travelling alone in a country where my language is not spoken a lot, so I felt a bit uncertain on my first evening, because I was not seeing any women at the place as I am used to in the hospitality industry of my country, there were only male staff. But soon enough, I felt safe, as the staff were really respectful, friendly and helpful. Most importantly, Haile the host is AMAZING! Haile is where hospitality is at! He communicates clearly, speaks perfect english and shared useful information throughout, and he was always just a call away if I experienced any challenge even outside of the guest house. There is a time, I didnt have enough ethiopian currency to pay, an uber rider, and I simply called Haile, and he sorted it out. I felt like I was home, and Haile and Staff were people I could count on if I needed anything! In the end, I was really glad that I made the choice to stay at Wib guesthouse, because I feel that I wouldnt have had such kind of support, if I was a guest at a bigger hotel. I hope that they continue to stay and provide the kind of services they provide!

I initially chose Wib Guesthouse because of their free airport pickup and drop-off service.
However, upon meeting the owner, Haile, who picked me up at the airport, I realized that he is a wonderful storyteller and provides travelers with a lot of necessary information, And he is also a person of great human warmth and charm.
The guesthouse has a courtyard in the middle, which was excellent for meeting other travelers, sharing stories, and exchanging information.
I stayed at this guesthouse twice. The first time was because of the airport shuttle service, but the second time was purely in anticipation of seeing Haile and meeting the other travelers. When I arrived for my second stay it felt like coming home.
This is a rare guesthouse—a place that has a lot of advantages. I strongly recommend this guesthouse.

Benjamin, Tirusew, and rest of staff were really nice. Benjamin helped me get local eSIM at Ethio telcom(I should have gotten at airports but didn't ), gave great suggestions for local restaurants, and the rides to and from airport (up to midnight) were so convenient. They are close enough to airport so just send message via WhatsApp about flight time and the let them know when at airport and they will drive over (15-20 min). I used RIDE app to get around especially at night, and also walked to places during the day. Would definitely come back again. Easy to meet other guests since there's a small courtyard where everyone sits around.

The staff are amazing. Haile is very responsive and i'm so happy he speaks English with a lot of ease. Very good place to stay and pocket friendly.
No iron box available and it would be nice if the kitchen could be available to fix up something for oneself.
