Lots of activities in the resort - great yoga exercise ! The pool is clean and has great view overlooking the forest . The restaurant is fantastic with nice food and dancing performance every night . The resort is large and can experience a lot inside !
The hygiene is no good inside the room . The cushion on the bed and sofa is smelly and don’t get replaced every time . The bathroom leaks after shower every day , lots of water on the floor !

There were several high-risk hazard areas around the hotel that posed significant safety concerns. Despite our repeated efforts to inform the management and bring these issues to their attention, it seems that no action has been taken to address the matters we raised. This lack of responsiveness suggests a troubling disregard for guest and staff safety, which is both disappointing and concerning.

Grounds: Exceptional - what a stunning property.
Pools: Amazing, particularly the infinity pool overlooking the jungle and river.
Room: Beautiful , lovely furniture including a couch to relax on. The room was beautifully styled, very comfortable and well equipped.
The staff were friendly but not particularly outstanding, less friendly and personable than other places we've stayed.
Service for dinner was slow and we were only offered 1 drink in 2 hours (there was Balinese dancing during this time but I still would have expected better service).
The bath kept filling up when showering. The water wasn't draining away.

LOVE AT THE FIRST SIGHT. Took me a while to choose the perfect hotel in Ubud and Maya Ubud is exceeding my expectations in everypart. Location is amazing (near ubud city centre but still quiet and remote at the same time). Service from the staff is aboye and beyond. We got upgraded to a jacuzzi villa as well which made the stay extra special. The hotel is well maintained. Bed is super comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. I wish we stayed a few days longer. The Kid’s club is also super nice! Many activities provided by the hotel.

The rooms were fantastic, and the overall experience felt truly authentic. The location made it feel like staying in a wildlife jungle while still enjoying the safety and comfort of the hotel. We even saw monkeys just a few meters away from our bungalow, which was amazing! The spa experience was excellent, and the facilities and shows were great for keeping guests entertained. The location is good. You can go to Ubud market in 10min. The hotel has a quiet and very good enviorment. It also provides you lots of activities, such as Yoga, biking and hiking. The pool is clean and a nice place to take pictures. I think it's a good place to relax yourself.
The check-in process at the hotel was very slow. It took us about 20 minutes to complete the check-in.

The resort is located on a beautiful spot quite near the centre of Ubud. The staff is great, super sweet and very helpful, they completely make up for some of the (minor) flaws the resort has.
The spa prices are outrageous, way too high. This is not a good look overall.

We had a 1 bed villa with a pool, the views over the jungle are spectacular, our room was very private and peaceful and the facilities at the resort are wonderful. The breakfast was really good and the location is fabulous for getting into Ubud centre. We had a great sleep here.
We were charged for an item in the minibar we didn’t have, we explained that it was never in the minibar but the staff couldn’t understand us and made us pay. The All Day menu food wasn’t the best. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest either.

Room condition is too wet due to the mountain location and design. Specially at the lower floor in the main building.
The dehumidifier machine was running each room but it is some problems when the water is full in the tank.
I got 3 rooms for my family but there was 2~3 times issues for that.

Everyhing was perfect, amazing stuff.
We arrived 2 hours earlier than the check-in time and were exhausted from the trip with our two little kids, but they didn't allow us to check into the room. My suggestion is to have an exception for situations like this, especially when traveling with young children.

The staff was very professional and friendly. We were upgraded from a suite to a villa, which was a pleasant surprise. Monkeys visited our backyard and even swam in our pool, which was a fascinating experience. The bed was decent, though it was a combination of two single beds instead of a king or California king, which would have been more comfortable.
My partner got food poisoning from a club sandwich we ordered at the Tree Bar café when we arrived. The staff handled the situation well and responded constructively, which we really appreciated. As a gesture, they offered us a complimentary meal at their restaurant on our last night, though we still ended up paying for the club sandwich. By then, we were too tired to bring it up. Unfortunately, this incident disrupted our trip plans, and since it was a short stay, we couldn’t do as much as we had hoped. We understand it wasn’t intentional, but it was still disappointing.

Such an amazing resort! Location is excellent - it's only a few minutes away from Ubud market, but inside the property it feels like a private island! Spacious room, very comfy bed, large bathroom, a small garden, pool and outdoor shower with our villa... staff is amazing - they seemingly anticipated everything, we had to ask for nothing!
We had one meal (dinner) at the resort, and the food was good. The breakfast spread is generous and varied...

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. My only issue was the hotel sent a car to collect us at the airport with only 3 seats for a family of 4 so my 3 year old was on my knee for 1.5 hours. But otherwise we loved it

The hotel and it’s surroundings are absolutely stunning. Nestled in the lap of nature, staying a few days here brought with it a sense of peace and harmony. The staff were friendly and took time to get to know each and every guest. They spent time at every table during every meal and exemplified hospitality. Sad to have to leave this tranquil place and go back to reality.

Stunning property & grounds ,we were upgraded to a villa with our own pool & butler, which was beautiful.
The only downside, was when we were asked to report any issue, I reported a small issue with some missed drinks & afterwards it became overwhelming, especially at breakfast with the staff over attentive, trying too hard to make up for a minor mistake.

The Maya is one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in the “Impressive Jungle” suite and had a corner suite view of the jungle. The food was some of the best we had on our trip and the staff was even better. There is an adults only pool on the edge of the jungle where the spa is. The spa is next level, highly recommend the flower bath. We will be back! It is not too far of a walk into the city center but they also have a free shuttle.

Staff were friendly. The kids club was quite nice. Foods were ok.
We stayed for 3 nights. The TV didn't work the entire time. We tried to cast our device to the TV. The first 2 days, it didn't work. We notified the staff on the first night. Staff mentioned that there is nothing they could do as the hotel is fully booked.
The room as well as the bathroom is very old and rundown. Shower and bath mixers were all greasy. We had to clean them ourselves before we start using.
The first day after housekeeping came to clean the room, the welcom fruit that was half eaten was still left on the table and uncleaned. We have to put them outside and clean the table ourselves.
Sound proofing was pretty bad as every morning we were woken up by the sound of housekeeping cart with glass bottles in the corridor.
We will not go back.

Great breakfast buffet. Amazing infinity pool with a view. Wonderful yoga teacher. We Got a free upgrade to a better room.

The pools, THE STAFF <3!!!! The views, the spa, the ambiance and tranquility.
The rooms were a little out of date and do not go with the rest of the architecture and vibes of the hotel (not the villas, i mean the hotel rooms) they feel a little cheap. HOWEVER for the price, our experience was phenomenal. Also the food could be better, it tasted or seemed like all inclusive food.

Managers / reception staff not willing to help with anything beyond standard we had a mistake and double booking and didn’t allow change or cancel … there are so many good hotels in Ubud won’t come back to this one.

A luxury hotel close to Ubud town Centre but the hotel is in the jungle. The service the quality of the food, ambience perfect. This is the second time we’ve been here and we will definitely return next time we are in Bali. The hotel restaurant offers great quality food at reasonable prices with nightly entertainment and a cocktail happy hour with live music. There is a free shuttle service into town which is only a five minute ride away but a taxi is only approximately £2/3 sterling. The Butler service is a new addition to the hotel when you stay in a villa, they will unpack pack and arrange any tours or restaurant bookings and cater for all your needs. One side you’re in the jungle in the ravine with a river running at the bottom the other side of the hotel has a rice Terrace what more could you want?
There is nothing to dislike about this property. It is our second visit so this is a testament to the Hotel and the quality it offers.

This is a beautiful resort. Very tranquil and relaxing and so large that it doesn't feel crowded. The staff was so friendly and the spa services we received were performed in a room right above the river - breathtaking! So many things were included in our stay at no extra charge - various daily activities like afternoon tea and morning yoga, an extensive breakfast buffet, and the Balinese dance performances that accompanied dinner at their restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a pool designated only for adults so that we could enjoy the serenity of its location right by the river. We definitely picked the right place to stay in Bali!
The only thing thing I could really complain about would be the food. At a 5-star place I expect fantastic meals and the food was just 'okay'. Luckily, there are great restaurants in town. Other than that, one should be aware that the resort is not really walkable to town. It is a short 20-25 minute walk, but there are no sidewalks on the road to town and I would go as far as to say it would be a bit dangerous to walk down given the way the cars drive down it. But that being said, the resort does offer hourly vans into town and it's Maya's seclusion that makes it so beautiful and serene. We didn't take advantage of the resort's van service as we preferred to come and go on our own time schedule and go to specific areas of town - a taxi into town was quick and cheap.

My room air conditioner was constantly leaking and for two days I kept struggling with this issue ..my last night was living in a puddle with constant water dripping which meant I couldn’t sleep
I had booked a 90 minutes spa but the therapy lasted only 75 minutes
The spa was very relaxing but the cheating on timing was so unprofessional

The whole complex was very well maintained and the stuff is super friendly.
The price is totally worth it.
The only think that I would like to know in advance - there was a list with activities, some of the marked as free.
So we took a photo session, that was marked free.
Once showing at the lobby for the session - we've been told that for the free option we are only getting 1 printed picture. If we would like to have the whole photo session - the prices are much higher than expected, of course - you have the option to take only the 1 photo and pay nothing, which is still great!
I guess it would be better to be more transparent about it at the list. We would still book the session and enjoy paying for the photos, but this way it just felt that we are being lied.

Beautiful resort very close to the Ubud center with shuttles running frequently. Wonderful spa and beautiful relaxation areas throughout the resort. The pools are nice and staff are lovely. Really enjoyed our stay here and the kids loved the grounds of the resort that’s well kept.
Although it’s a great resort that caters to kids, it’s not exactly built for families with kids like other resorts in Bali. Ubud can be rainy which means you can’t do much in terms of rice terraces or monkey forests and so on, so it would be nicer to have a kids club that’s opened all day and other amenities or activities to do other than the spa

Maya was the most beautiful resort we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived late at night, the frogs calling in the ponds in front of the open air lobby, to the private villas overlooking the river, to the vertical layout of the resort on a cliff with elevator/ stairs down to the riverfront spa, pool and restaurant. It was stunning. Breakfast and food were great. Proximity to Ubud center was great. The staff and service were the best in our 2 week trip to Indonesia. We hope to return.
The spa, private driver, and tours were much more expensive for similar services offered in town. There was a gecko calling very loudly in the room at 4 am every morning and I think they were inside the villa, but that's nature.

I have stayed in Maya few times before, everything has improved except the food quality. They used to have a great breakfast, but now 99% breakfast is Asian food bar, and only couple of egg choices you need to order from menu, Lunch and dinner is very limited, I heard they changed their chef, not a very wise choice. When you have 90% of your clients non Asians, they want better choices, we don't want noodles and soups and other Asian breakfast. Breakfast in Maya was always the highlight of my stay before, even staff are a bit confused there in the mornings. There is no harmony there unlike before.

The fact that 2 days in a row we were restricted due to back to back weddings going on.
Our room was beautiful.The amenities were fantastic. I actually LOVED the in room coffee maker and need to get one at home. We came out to 20 monkey on our balcony one day. It was a core memory for the kids.
The staff was so helpful throughout the entire trip. The Whatsapp Butler connection made my life so much easier.
My entire family loved breakfast. The selection was fantastic. Everyone had something the loved to eat. Room service was easy and had something for everything- which was great since we had some major jetlag and were all over the place.
Everything booked up quickly. I wasn't able to get into the spa as I like to be more leisurely when planning my days during vacation.Especially since we were on a -16hour time difference. If I didn't RSVP well into advance, we couldnt do the activities.
I booked up too much around Ubud and could have spent all week just at the resort- I didn't like that I didn't book longer!
