Giant room, nice view, onsite restaurant bathrobes and slippers, great location, small spa. We stayed here after climbing Kilimanjaro and doing a safari so spent our time relaxing in the room, enjoying a massage and the onsight restaurant. The location seems good to explore the area but we didn't do that. We had a late flight and the hotel allowed us to pay $20.00 and check out at 6:00 pm which was so nice after 12 days of activities. Would recommend.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to accommodate any requests. The rooms were spacious, with large, comfortable beds and all the essentials provided. Breakfast was included and freshly prepared on the spot, which I personally find much better than a buffet. The fresh fruit and juices were a real treat! Thank you for the excellent service.
The only area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi in the rooms. The internet connection was not very reliable, which was a bit inconvenient as I was traveling for work and had online meetings. There is, however, a workspace available on the 10th floor where the internet works well, but it would be great if the coverage was strong throughout the entire property.

The wifi connection was very bad in my room especially in the evenings. The breakfast arrangement is unpleasant, a full buffet would work better where i serve myself. we waited too long for our food to be served and the staff struggled with communicating in English

We really felt well taken care of.
For a coffee country, i was surprised to find instant coffee in the room rather than some better offering (promoting coffee) - but this is a comment to all hotels/lodges we stayed at, even the ones with coffee in their name.

The Sanna Boutique Hotel is located very central in Arusha with several restaurants reachable by foot. The Gym is a 10/10 Gym with all necessary Equipment and high quality machines (similar to a premium gym in europe but a little bit smaller) aswell as Heavy Dumbbells (up to 50Kg) and enough weight plates. It also has an underground parking garage included. The staff was very nice and our stay was comforting. The room is very big and includes all essentials and even a smart TV. The view from the rooftop is great! We had only breakfast included but it was very good. Also it was possible to get it on the go. We highly recommend this hotel if you are starting your trips to the national parks in Arusha and search for a nice, comforting place to stay. Shoutout to the very friendly Security Gabriel!
Nothing really to complain. The parking garage is a little bit too small for safari cars and you have to be very careful. Also the arrows on the ground are confusing as you can reach the top of the garage very easily if you drive the wrong way.

We were staying in a twin room. It was very spacious and the bathroom was huge too.
The hotel has a terrace on the 14th floor with terrific views of the Meru mountain.
Still, the main value of the hotel are the people working in it, they are just great. Really helpful and attentive. We could arrange a later checkout without problems.
The cafe downstairs is lovely and they have good coffee too.
Could be good to have a fridge in the room. Also, mattresses are kind of weird, too hard and stiff.
Also, it is very strange that there's no deemed lighting by the bed for reading. Not even the small lamp. Oh, and the sockets are hidden and located in very inconvenient places. I need my phone charging by my bedside and not by the tv set.
Light management is also quite outdated, you either have a full light in every corner, or everything goes off. Diversity in lighting could significantly improve the overall impression of the room.
Food in the restaurant was ok, however too huge portions and I usually hate leaving so much waste after eating. E.g. one portion of crispy fish and mashed potatoes could easily feed three people, so please consider this while ordering.

We don’t know Arusha so we don’t know how the location compares to other properties. For us, it was a busy, slightly intimidating area. The common areas of the hotel such as carpets could use updating, but it’s cosmetic only and didn’t affect our enjoyment of the lovely room.

I am thoroughly surprised by this hotel. We booked it based in all the good reviews but it exceeded our expectations.
We booked the cheapest twin room and was offered a huge queen room instead. Had the best massage in Tanzania by Neema at the spa and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the rooftop restaurant. It also has an actual gym fully equipped with all the machines I can think of that takes membership but hotel guest can use for free.
Breakfast is also made to order and make sure to try the apple jam which looks freshly made and tasted so good.
The location feels very safe with a whole bunch of travel related office downstairs and a nice cafe on the first floor.
This is our last night before flying out but wish we could have stayed longer.

The only good thing in this hotel is the location and the polished pictures. Unfortunately the reality looks very different.
It’s a highly overrated hotel and bad value for money, lacking professionalism and quality. It‘s shocking what we got for such an amount. This hotel tries to make the impression of being luxurious, however, it's only polished on the surface.
Deposit must be paid cash and in USD, a hotel in this price category should have the possibility to make deposits by credit card. They don‘t have change, so they also just take higher amounts, in our case the doubled amount. It was refused to let us access the room ourself, despite several attempts to explain that we do not need a babysitter to find the room.
The room: Wall and tiles are cracked, paint on the wall is peeling off in places, carpet is dirty and full of stains. The hotel door cannot be locked, the window handles are broken off, no sound insulation, so you can hear the loud music from the neighbourhood, bad network reception in the building, no black-out curtains, the universal sockets are not installed properly and only works with Tanzanian adapter. A message for "Jonathan" was laying around, except non of us is actually called Jonathan. Car in Safari size had to be parked in the street.
Bathroom: Traces of urine on the toilet seat, black residue on the bathtub, water marks on the floor, water damage at the ceiling, missing and dirty joints between the tiles, glue residue on the soap dispenser, no hygiene bin.
The bed: Mattress is hard and uncomfortable, the duvet is longer than the cover, so it hangs out at the bottom, the linen has pilling, the pillow is just cheap cotton wool and the seam on the side is coming off. Stains of a sugary drink from the previous guest on the night stand.
Eating and drinking is forbidden in the room, you have to sign for possible stains.

recently stayed at Sanaa Hotel during a quick business trip to Arusha, and it turned out to be a solid choice. The hotel is conveniently located near my meeting venue, making it a hassle-free stay.
One of the highlights was the stunning views from the terrace—truly a great spot to unwind after a long day. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, which is always a plus, and I appreciated the peace and quiet, especially being on the 13th floor.
Service was decent, nothing extraordinary but efficient enough for a smooth stay. Overall, a comfortable experience, and I’d consider staying here again for future visits.

I wish I could give this Hotel 11 out of 10. I have stayed in many hotels and this tops the list. The staff were amazing from the second I stepped out of the taxi the security man was so friendly and helpful and kind and welcoming and all of the staff were incredible. Prince, the manager, is an electric hard-working generous fountain of knowledge. I would not have made it to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro without his advice, guidance, encouragement, and inspiration as well as the help of many other of the wonderful staff.
The room was so beautiful and spacious.
It is rare to find a hotel with such an extensive fully well equipped gym just like one of the best gyms in the world.
The restaurant on the top floor has beautiful views and ambience and the food comes in generous proportions and is delicious and the staff are so lovely. The cafe downstairs also has great options and delicious smoothies for after a gym workout.
The location is central and close to banks and restaurants and other amenities.
It was so good that I went there again and would love to go again

Shower was not in the best condition (water handle falling off, doors didn't close properly and the pool of water stayed on the floor until next morning).
You order breakfast from the menu and the kitchen is a bit slow, so plan accordingly.
Ordered laundry service, which was very expensive. Clothes came back with stains and not ironed, so we agreed on a discount.

The room I stayed in at Sanna Boutique Hotel was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and offered a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring Arusha. The property was had amazing views, modern, perfect finishes. I particularly loved that there were no carpets; it was clean and just gorgeous. I loved the murals, the food, but what stood out for me was the staff. The service was absolutely incredible. I wish I could rate them 11 out of 10. The staff at this place are always ready to help, from the frontline staff, to the restaurant staff, the cleaners, management, right down to the security guard outside. I would like to make a special mention to Prince, Evelyn, Sharon went above and beyond their call of duty to make us comfortable. Also Hadson, Rodgers, the chef (Sharon I believe) and her guys (sadly did not get their names). Also briefly met Vivian who went out of her way to help out, had a great chat.
Honestly, it was just incredible, they made sure I had all I needed, even services not offered by the hotel I received, absolutely loved our drivers too, also organised by Prince and Evelyn, I will end it here

We loved our stay at Sanna Boutique Hotel. The room was incredibly spacious, and the water flow in the shower was strong and warm, perfect to relax after the safari. In a world where international hotels are all looking and feeling pretty much the same, it’s a welcome relief to find a little piece of true Africa in Arusha. Sanna leaves and breathes in its ‘boutique’ nature and makes visitors feel unique and welcome. The huge Trevor Cole images adorning the hallways and the rooftop mural immediately remind you that you are in Maasai land. But once you enter your huge and well-adorned room you can isolate yourself from any world you wish. No doubt Arusha has many nice restaurants, but with a rooftop restaurant, excellent menu, chilled beers and exceptional staff, my colleague and I chose the Sanna for every meal. Breakfast proved to be a perfect start. No fussing about a buffet table helping yourself to cold food. At Sanna you order anything and everything you want from the breakfast menu and it’s delivered to your table hot and fast … and with a huge smile. At Sanna we weren’t faceless nameless guests at a luxury international hotel. Staff, security guards and even the Manager/Owner Prince treated us like guests who had names and places to go.
Try adding more local cuisine to the menu. There are three Makanges but perhaps add some additional variety.

The hotel is good and has a good team willing to help with everything. The TV in the room has YouTube and other streaming services, but there was almost always no internet. Every time I complained about the Wi-Fi for the TV, the staff helped. The cleaning team did a good job.
Breakfast is based on the menu, but they offer some very good smoothies and juices.
As for the restaurant, well, it may be local cuisine, but... I felt the food was very oily.
I want to congratulate the hotel, the manager (he is attentive), from Café Sanna to the rooms and gym.
