It’s right in the heart of stone town. Very nice hosts, and also very very cheap.

It took such a long time to find the place. The internet is also terrible. There’s no way to pay unless you have cash.

Good value for your money. Not luxury but very comfortable. Comes with a small kitchen and located within walking distance of all major Stone town attractions. Tons of delicious restaurants in the area just a few meters away. Very kind and accommodating staff.

There was no sink in the bathroom.

The staff were friendly and helpful , especially Kassim. He carried my luggage from the nearest motor able street and back. The room was cleaned both for my arrival and between the 2 nights. The location was about 300 m from the street, in an alleyway. I never felt unsafe, solo, age 75, night or day. Plenty of shops in the district, mostly in the tourist area ca. 400 meters west. restaurants, always full of locals, are on the street. Wi-fi okay, hot water on demand (2 minutes), one room’s a/c didn’t work but they moved me to one with a/c. Didn’t try the tv.

Okay with me, but you climb a steep flight of steps, and not for you if you don’t like the warren of alleys.

Upon arrival, the host met us where the Turk Turk dropped us off& after check in, he took me to the market to buy water & drinks, then continued to walk with me and show me the location of restaurants etc. The location was excellent & the staff are very helpful! Anything we needed for the apartment was immediately purchased and provided, such as we wanted a bath mat & they immediately went to the market & purchased a new one. Very close to Lukmaan Restaurant, which has good food & inexpensive.

We did not cook, since it is so close to good inexpensive restaurants, however if we did, we would have asked for some additional cooking utensils, cooking pot & silverware.
