Located on a sandy beach on the northern tip of Zanzibar, this Turaco Nungwi Resort, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel offers luxurious rooms with views of tropical garden, pool and the Indian ocean. The lush tropical gardens contain an outdoor pool and swim-up bar. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

The beds are surrounded by a mosquito net and the private bathrooms come stocked with free toiletries. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Breakfast is served daily in the Ngalawa Restaurant which also offers lunch and dinner buffet or set menu style and live entertainment in the night time (seasonal).

The food wasnt the best. The Breakfast and dinner felt like it was cooked in bulk however it served the purpose of being fuelled for the day.

Excellent beach location. Good building substance.Good parking. Friendly welcome and a room # 326, directly overlooking beach and sea. Lush hotel-gardens. Good Beachbar bar with reasonable drinkprices.

the Food & Beverage product of the hotel is lagging very much behind. Outdated, tatty coffeeshop with egg, pancake stations below any hygienic standard. Outdated food-presentation in dated chafingdishes. Sub standard coffee quality. Water diluted honey and tasteless cheese and cold cuts. Very friendly staff who are in dire need of service discipline and leadership.
