A true gem in Stonetown. It was my first time staying here, and I already know it won’t be the last!! for me or my management team. We live in between DAR and Zanzibar, but when work keeps us in town for a night or sometimes up to 10 days, this hostel is always a reliable, welcoming escape. The staff are warm and professional, the rooms are spotless, and the WiFi is strong enough to actually get things done. The building layout is stunning, and the private family rooms offer a peaceful retreat. Whether I come solo or with a group, they always manage to accommodate us with ease. It’s more than just a place to stay...it’s a place that feels like it was designed with care, comfort, and calm in mind.. this place is so peaceful! Thank you for everything!

​I was practically out of it when I arrived at this accommodation because I had taken motion sickness medication. However, the manager at the reception desk was kind and warm, allowing me to rest well. ​It was a comfortable and good place to relax in a peaceful atmosphere.

It’s clean and well located in the city center and the staff is really nice.

If you’re there in summer season you’re screwed since the rooms are way too hot. Even with a fan it’s unbearable they need to get some AC. Unfortunately we had to leave after the first night for a place with AC.

Great hostel , perfect location. The hostel is less than a 5 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. The room was great, big, spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly always available, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. especially ( Eddie ) he has positive energy really made a difference to our stay. A hostel that is great value for money. I liked everything . I would go back again

The stuff of Golden Nap was very helpful and sweet. They did everything to make me happy. Also, the very known Zanzibar coffee house is just by side Golden Nap Hostel, and you can always find your way back because Google has fogotten Stonetown:. you can find names but no streets to bring you to them. That is a fun challenge because, after your fifth round, every shop employee will know you, and suddenly you feel family with the whole town. Therefore, be not shy to ask!. I promise,, you will fall in love with Stonetown and it's people!.

Teh check-in process was smooth and they kept my backpacks before check-in and after check-out. The room is clean with a decent size of shower room.
